PRAISE TABERNACLE

CHURCH HISTORY

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Praise Tabernacle was inaugurated on June 6, 1999. The church was birthed by RCCG Chapel of Mercy, pastored by Pastor Sola Joseph. The pioneer Parish Pastor was Pastor Theophilus Martins. The church rented property was located at 9, Ebun Street, Lawanson, Surulere. Thereafter, the parish purchased this property and also the opposite two plots, 10 & 12, on same Street. The Parish became an Area Headquarter Parish in 2003 and thereafter a Zonal Headquarter in 2010. A befitting and beautiful edifice was erected.

September 2010

Pastor Amos Emovon was transferred to the Parish and appointed as the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province (Lagos Province 23). Transformational changes henceforth were evidenced and a great face lift and revamping of church structure brought about tremendous changes still enjoyed till date.

September 2014

The Parish was upgraded to a Provincial Headquarter (Lagos Province 44) with Pastor Amos Emovon as the Pioneer Pastor in charge of Province.

February 2015

The completed church building as well as the new Province was dedicated by the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye.

"And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." -Habakkuk 2:2
