Moving Forward to Possess New Things

Moving Forward

Text: Deuteronomy 1:3, 6-8

Minister: Pastor Amos Emovon (PICP, LP 44)

In our journey of faith, we often find ourselves at crossroads, yearning for change and new beginnings. This message, drawn from Deuteronomy, invites us to embrace the new things God has in store for us.

The New Things the People of God Begin to Possess
  1. Divine Repositioning
Just as the people of Israel were positioned to possess the land of their enemies, we too are called to experience divine repositioning in our lives. In Esther 8:1-2, we see how God orchestrates circumstances for His people, granting them authority and blessing where there was once struggle.
  2. A New Kind of Grace
In Esther 10:3, we learn about a new grace bestowed upon God’s people. This grace empowers us to navigate challenges and embrace the abundant life God promises.
  3. A New Position
Also from Esther 10:3, we see that with new grace comes a new position. God elevates us, placing us in positions of influence and purpose, reminding us that our identity in Him is transformative.
  4. New Possessions of Our Desires
Esther 9:12 illustrates that as we move forward, God aligns our desires with His will, allowing us to possess not just material blessings, but the deep desires of our hearts.
How to Move Forward to Possess New Things
  1. Courage
Courage is essential in this journey. Esther 4:16 and 5:2 remind us that stepping into new things requires boldness. We must be willing to take risks and trust in God’s guidance.
  2. Make Your Request Known
A closed mouth can lead to a closed destiny (Esther 7:3-6). God invites us to vocalize our needs and desires. In doing so, we open the door for His blessings and provision.

In the Season of Possessing New Things, What Should You Do?

  • Rejoice and Give Thanks with Gifts
Esther 9:20-22 encourages us to celebrate our victories. In this season of new possessions, let’s rejoice, give thanks, and share our blessings with others.

Conclusion

As we reflect on these truths, let us move forward with faith and expectation. God has new things for each of us, and by embracing courage, vocalizing our requests, and rejoicing in His goodness, we position ourselves to receive the fullness of His promises.
